Corrections Log
Every editorial correction to the Bitcoin Treasury Tracker, published with the before and after values, the reason, and the primary source that settled it.
Getting corporate Bitcoin holdings right means correcting them in public. When a tracker value is found to differ from what an issuer actually filed, the correction is applied to the dataset and recorded here — 10 value corrections and 2 removals to date, most recently on August 24, 2026. Sources are SEC EDGAR filings or the issuer's own investor-relations publications, never third-party estimates. How values are sourced and when a correction is warranted is documented in the methodology.
Subscribe via RSS — new corrections land in the feed the day they publish.
Value corrections
15,680 BTC 11,380 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Re-pinned to the issuer's own Q2 2026 Form 10-Q; the prior figure was a stale third-party value that no filing supported. Total includes 5,821 BTC held as collateral, following the issuer's own balance-sheet presentation.
16,492 BTC 17,311 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to crypto held for investment per the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q — the tracker was under-reporting.
13,931 BTC 12,205 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q balance-sheet figure, excluding 1,719 BTC that is a collateral receivable rather than held Bitcoin. CleanSpark discontinued its monthly holdings 8-Ks in 2026, so the quarterly 10-Q is now the source of record.
10,278 BTC 9,314 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to the Hut 8-attributable portion of the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q consolidated total of 17,316 BTC — American Bitcoin Corp's 8,002 BTC is listed as its own row (ABTC) and must not be double-counted. The prior 10,278 matched no filed figure.
9,542.16 BTC 14,139 BTC as of 2026-07-31
Updated per the subsequent-events note in the issuer's own Q2 2026 Form 10-Q (a July purchase funded by a bitcoin-securities sale). The prior value was the year-end 2025 figure still being carried by third-party sources.
8,300 BTC 8,002 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q figure; includes 3,090 BTC pledged to Bitmain, following the issuer's own presentation.
5,405 BTC 5,355 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q figure; 3,404 BTC is pledged at Anchorage per the filing.
3,839 BTC 5,528 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to corporate holdings including restricted Bitcoin per the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q (customer assets excluded). The tracker was 1,689 BTC under the filed figure.
1,514 BTC 2,914 BTC as of 2026-06-30
Corrected to the Q2 2026 Form 10-Q total (unrestricted plus restricted). The prior figure matched no filing, and the 10-Q (filed 2026-08-07) post-dates it — caught by the tracker's provenance gate.
as of 2026-06-30
Removed a stale 8,285 BTC SpaceX entry from the private-company category aggregate: it double-counted against the SPCX row (18,712 BTC per SpaceX's own Q2 2026 Form 10-Q) added to the public-company set on 2026-08-14. Category totals were recomputed.
Removals
Issuers removed from the public-company dataset. Each is recorded in a permanent exclusion registry enforced at both data-fetch time and build time, so a removed issuer cannot silently re-enter — this section renders directly from that registry.
BSTR/CEPO business combination terminated via Termination and Release Agreement dated 2026-08-20; ancillary documents and PIPE subscription agreements terminated automatically; BSTR withdrawing the Form S-4; CEPO resumed target search. The pro-forma 30,021 BTC never landed on a public-company balance sheet and the ~5,021 BTC PIPE portion was never assembled — no primary-sourced realized holdings exist. Do not carry the 30,021 anywhere.
Merged into Strive, Inc. (ASST) effective 2026-01-16 as a wholly owned subsidiary; its BTC is consolidated inside Strive's weekly 8-K totals. A standalone SMLR row double-counts ~5,048 BTC against ASST.
How this log works
Corrections are applied to the tracker as pinned overrides in a change-logged database; pinned values take precedence over any automated feed and require a primary-source citation with an as-of date before the site will publish them. This page is generated from that change log — entries are appended, never edited, and an entry that later turns out to be wrong is superseded by a new entry rather than rewritten.
Spotted a discrepancy against an issuer's own filing? Use the "suggest an update" form on the tracker page — corrections that survive verification against the primary source end up here.
